Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases (JVATiTD) is an open access academic publication dedicated to research on all aspects of toxins, venomous animals and their derivative products. The journal also welcomes submissions related to tropical diseases with a focus on infectious diseases, parasitology and immunology.

JVATiTD is published by the Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals (CEVAP), a research unit of the São Paulo State University (UNESP). CEVAP’s main research field is toxinology, which means the study of toxins produced by venomous or poisonous animals, plants and microorganisms with the purpose of understanding their mode of action on targets.
